Phoenix Home Remodeling Company: What to Expect Before You Get Started on a Home Remodeling Project Remodeling (Part 4 of 4)

This blog post is the fourth of a 4-part series that will describe what to expect when starting on a home remodeling.

Drywall, Finishing and Fixtures.  After all mechanical installations are complete and inspected, any insulation and drywall work will be done.  After this, doors, flooring, painting, cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures and lighting fixtures are installed.  Your Phoenix home remodeling company is now bringing your project to life!

Substantial Completion and Punch List.  At this point, you may be able to use your new space on a limited basis.  The number of workers in your home has been drastically reduced and you can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Your Phoenix home remodeling company will develop a “punch list” of small items left to be completed.  The contractor reviews this list with you and incorporates your input.  In general, you complete this phase a week or two after your project has reached substantial completion.  Then, you have a chance to fully notice anything that might need fixing.

Final Completion.  When the punch list work is completed and approved, you will be expected to pay your final invoice per the terms of your contract.  Should you need to fix items associated with your remodeling project after final completion, your warranty will be used.  Phoenix home remodeling company warranties generally extend for one-year after work has been performed.

You’ll find the construction phase of your remodeling project very rewarding if you’ve done your homework upfront and selected a well qualified remodeling contractor.  Whether large or small, simple or complex, you’ll be excited to see your project transform your ideas into beautiful living space!
